If there was one thing you think society should talk more about, what would it be?
“I’d like to talk about death - and what happens after you die - from a legal perspective. So many people don’t think about the consequences of not have explicit instructions around their estate and the impact that has on their loved ones left behind”

My guest today is an expert in a topic that most people either don’t want to know about, or are in denial they even need to worry about it! That topic is Wills and estate planning - yes, quite a different topic for us on the pod which is fabulous!
Anna Hacker is the National Manager of Estate Planning for Australian Unity. She holds a law degree and has considerable experience in the field of elder law, estate planning and succession law. Anna currently manages one of Australia’s largest estate planning departments and also assists high net worth clients fulfil their estate
planning objectives - so she certainly knows her stuff!
Anna is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and Business Professional Women,
prior President of the Probus Women’s Housing committee which provides low cost
housing to independent, elderly women.
Anna also hosts the popular podcast “What Happens When I Die?” which explores the legal outcomes of dying. Each episode, Anna is joined by guests to discuss what happens to your kids, your superannuation, your stuff and even your body after you pass Away. This was such an interesting conversation so I hope you enjoy it too!
