If there was one thing you think society should talk more about, what would it be?

“We need to break the myths about sexuality and disability. It’s also really important for comprehensive sexuality/relationship counselling for people with a disability.”

I loved meeting today’s guest so much! She’s raw, she’s honest, she helps so many people in her field of work - but it’s one tricky area to navigate & that’s what I wanted to find out more about.

Meet the incredible - Jodi Rodgers! Jodi is a qualified sexologist, counsellor and special education teacher. She has worked within the education and community sectors in both Australia and internationally and has extensive experience working with people with disability and diverse neurology across the life span.

Jodi established her private practice, Birds and Bees, after 30 years of working within the education, disability and sexuality fields. Birds and Bees specialises in delivering counselling services and workshops for people with a disability with a focus on sexuality, sexual health and relationships, as well as delivering training for parents, carers and professionals to raise the community’s capacity in this sometimes-tricky area. Jodi was featured on “Love on The Spectrum” which was released on the ABC and globally on Netflix. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did meeting Jodi.
